Through independent advocacy, Parners in Advocacy aims to safeguard and empower people with additional support needs to live their lives as valued, responsible and enriched citizens.

What advocacy is provided in each area

Partners in Advocacy provides short-term, citizen advocacy and self-advocacy groups to adults, young people and children with additional support needs – but what is available in each area differs.

  • adults with learning disabilities (short-term advocacy)
  • children and young people with disabilities and any other additional support needs (citizen & short-term advocacy and self-advocacy groups)
  • children & young people (11-21 yrs) who use or have used mental health services
